Do I need to fill out a new membership form?
Yes! A new membership form must be filled out each year. PTO membership is good for that school year. At the end of each school year, we delete all contact information.

Who can be a PTO member?
Anyone connected to a child at Blackman Elementary. Grandparents, aunts & uncles, close family friends, adult siblings, and any other caregivers or loved ones are eligible for membership.
How do I volunteer?
Fill out a Volunteer Interest form and turn it in to your child’s teacher or the front office.

I filled out a Volunteer Interest form but haven’t heard back. How do I get involved?
Send us an email at Blackmanpto@gmail.com with what areas you would like to help with. The PTO board is made up of busy parents who volunteer their time to manage the organization so sometimes it can take us some time to get to everything on our to-do list.
What are the benefits of becoming a PTO member?
Being a PTO member affords many opportunities to directly impact the students at Blackman Elementary. Members have voting rights on a number of issues throughout the year, including board member elections in April. Members will also be notified of teacher/staff birthdays each month and have the option to request gift ideas throughout the year.
Am I required to volunteer to be a PTO member?
Nope! Membership does not have any volunteer requirements. We love to have feedback from parents through messages and voting.
